Baking Instructions
You will need 1 stick of butter, 1 large egg, a baking sheet, ½ tsp of vanilla or almond extract, a standing or handheld mixer, and a rolling pin.
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter with the sugar packet included in this mix until fluffy and smooth. Beat in eggs and the extract, then include the flour packet with the mixer on low. Cover, and chill the dough for at least 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 400°F once the dough is firm, and roll it out on a floured surface until it’s ¼ to ½ inch thick. Cut into shapes with a cookie cutter, or roll them into a ball and flatten them. Place the cookies on a baking sheet 1 inch apart, and bake 6-8 minutes. Cool completely, then decorate as desired. Makes approximately 20 cookies. Enjoy!
