Baking Instructions

You will need 1 cup of warm water, ¼ cup and 2 tbsp of olive oil, and a 10” or 12” cast iron skillet or a 9x12 tray. 

Pour the mix into a large bowl, and add the packet of yeast. Add 1 cup of warm water and 2 tbsp of olive oil, stirring well until just combined. Turn the dough onto a floured surface, and knead 8-10 times. Lightly oil a separate, large bowl and turn the dough inside to thoroughly coat it. Cover, and let rise for an hour until doubled in size. 

Preheat the oven to 450°F. Coat the skillet or 9x12 tray with 2-3 tbsp olive oil, then punch down the dough and drop it inside. Pat it to the edges of the skillet or tray, and use your fingertips to press indentations across the top of the dough. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil, and bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Top with a sprinkle of kosher salt, parmesan, or herbs if desired, and let rest for a few minutes before serving warm!
