The Paris Market and Brocante

About Us

"When we opened The Paris Market, we wanted to create a place where people could forget about everything and get lost in a world of beautiful, inspiring, and sometimes peculiar things."  —Paula Danyluk, founder

Like a well-curated Parisian flea market, The Paris Market is a vision of whimsical and unforgettable treasures. Founded in 2004 by Paula and Taras Danyluk, the two-level, 5,200-square-foot boutique is housed in an 1874 Victorian building originally built as a grocery store, which they lovingly restored to its old-world splendor. The pair travels the globe to source unique and fantastical pieces, both big and small, modern and antique: from hand-crafted jewelry and accessories to custom-made lighting, French-milled soaps to hard-to-come-by kitchen tools. A charming corner of the store offers wares and gifts just for children and an expansive section of books is devoted to art, design, food, and travel. Tables are set with all the accoutrements for the perfect dinner party, while beds are dressed in layers of luxurious linens. The store also features a signature collection of objets, including candles, fragrances, and leathergoods. Southern Living recently selected Paris Market as “the South’s Best Shop” stating: “Like Alice falling down the rabbit hole, prepare to get lost in a wonderland of the most incredible goods.”
