Antique Embroidered Initials Ribbon

These small tags were likely the "marque-étudiant" or "étiquette rouge" tags used in French schools. These red tags were sewn onto children's school clothing, especially uniforms or schoolwear, and often contained the child's initials.

The purpose of these tags was to help keep track of children's belongings, particularly in large schools where items could be easily lost or misplaced. The darling red color made them stand out
