FRAGONARD x JAMIE BECK
AN AMERICAN IN PROVENCE
Jamie Beck, a fashion photographer from New York, moved to the South of France seven years ago. Inspired by this new life, she wrote a book, An American in Provence, which made the New York Times bestseller list. From Manhattan to a peaceful studio in Provence, she now captures the life and beauty of the region from a new artistic perspective.
Jamie Beck delved into the historical treasures of the Musée Provençal du Costume et du Bijou in Grasse, accompanied by the collections' curators. Together, they set out to explore the archives of fabrics dating back to the 18th century. Enchanted by the richness and diversity of these fabrics from yesteryear, Jamie carefully selected prints that echoed her sensibility and love for Provençal outfits. Together with the Fragonard fashion team, she has reinterpreted and adapted these motifs to create a capsule collection. Handmade embroidery and screen-printing, as well as traditional Indian blockprint techniques, complete this limited-edition line.
